I underwent rhinoplasty and cosmetic surgery four months ago with Dr. Mustafa Bezirgan due to breathing difficulties. I had previously undergone surgery with two different surgeons, but there was no improvement. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, reassuring knowledge, and post-operative follow-up were excellent. My surgery went smoothly, with minimal to no pain, bruising, and swelling, but these are all perfectly normal. Dr. Mustafa provided me with comprehensive information before the surgery. My breathing difficulties are gone. My nose is now very natural and beautiful. I would like to thank Dr. Mustafa, his team, and Canan for their care.
Hello. On the evening of October 29th, when my 2.5-year-old daughter experienced ear pain, I called Dr. Alper Şenkal's assistant, on the advice of a friend, and requested an appointment. Thankfully, I explained that it was urgent, and he made an appointment, and we went for an examination on the morning of October 30th. The doctor was very attentive. He explained that my daughter had a middle ear infection and prescribed Augmentin and Iliadin nasal spray. He told me to return for a follow-up examination after 10 days of antibiotics. I explained that I have a penicillin allergy and can't use Augmentin, and we didn't know if my daughter was allergic to it either. He said it would be fine. We used it for 10 days. Meanwhile, we went to Izmir during the mid-term break, and when my daughter caught the flu there, we took her to the family doctor. He prescribed Zimaks and Deloday and told us to take these antibiotics for five days. When my daughter's ear pain returned on the night of our return, we went back to see Dr. Alper on November 17th. This time, he said her other ear was infected but he wouldn't prescribe any more antibiotics. Instead, she prescribed Iburamin COLD. I asked, "Isn't this medication for children over 6?" She said she used it on her own children and that it wasn't a problem. Because we trusted the doctor, we started using it. On the evening of the fourth day, my daughter's feet began to swell and she developed a rash. We immediately went to the emergency room at the city hospital. After an ultrasound, X-rays, and blood tests, she was given another dose of Augmentin, and we went home. I prepared the first dose of antibiotics and gave it to my daughter. Immediately afterward, her entire body began to redden, blister, itch, and her feet and knees began to swell. We went back to the city hospital in the morning, and the doctor ordered her to be admitted. We were hospitalized for seven days, and words cannot describe what we endured. The infection and the medications she was taking had caused a cross-reaction, leading to allergic hives. So, to inform the doctor and to prevent others from administering these medications, I texted her assistant and asked to see the doctor. The assistant called me immediately and said she would listen to the details and pass them on to the doctor. After that moment, Dr. Alper Şenkal didn't call or ask! How could such indifference be possible? Doesn't anyone ever wonder what they've done? How would he be held accountable if my child suffered permanent damage? If he had contacted me, called me, and asked about our situation, I would have explained the situation and closed the matter, but now I'm going to file a complaint against him. This attitude is completely unacceptable!!!
I've been going from doctor to doctor in Istanbul and Izmir suffering from allergic rhinitis, and I've been to every doctor in Istanbul and Izmir. I also decided to come to Ankara to see Dr. Metin Önerci about my condition. Regret it. Don't go. After a six-hour overnight bus ride, with no sleep, I rushed to get checked out, but his attitude was so off-putting. He barely glanced at the results of my checkups, examined me, but what happened next was a complete fiasco.
I pretended I wasn't listening to him or seeking help from a doctor. In fact, I couldn't even fathom his psychiatric training (since he's an ENT doctor), he told me I was depressed and suggested I find a doctor I liked and see him. For about two years, my nasal membranes have been so swollen that I can't breathe. When I commented on my condition, I was reprimanded, "Are you a doctor?" During the examination, he told me I had sinusitis, and when I left his room, unable to bear his attitude, he told my companions I didn't. I've been through a period where I can't understand why I came all this way. I'm writing this comment so you don't regret it.
We should choose doctors based on our preferences, not on their successful treatment of patients. This is the conclusion I've drawn from Metin Önerci's statements. Furthermore, if he can easily diagnose depression despite not being a psychiatrist, I have a suggestion: he's constantly shaking his leg. He might have ADHD. I can recommend a few specialists for him, and if he wants to contact me, I don't know if he'll like them, because he needs to see a doctor he likes.
I've had an experience where I haven't been able to get any results regarding my condition. Apparently, this is how doctors behave when they don't want to deal with patients or when they're at a dead end.
If you want to waste your money, please go to Metin Önerci.
