Istanbul Smile Center Dental Clinic

"I flew from Ireland to Istanbul last Monday. I had 3700 grafts done 3 days ago by Dr. Altan and team. Happy with healing so far, all seems to be going well. I was a little nervous before flying to Istanbul and before the procedure. All I can say to anyone that is having second thoughts is that all is excellent. The clinic is extremely professional, Dr. Altan is heavily involved and personally planned the shape of hairline, giving me two choices. He also preformed the actual canal opening so that the desired finish is achieved. He has a skilled team with him and they assisted with the other 2 phases of the operation. Bloods were taken at beginning, my BP was taken throughout to ensure stability, and I was given a hydration drip to ensure I remained ok at the graft implant phase. At no time was I allowed stand without taking it slowly and I was monitored at all times (privacy of course for toilet breaks but asked not to lock the door, just in case). The professionalism was second to none and I cannot fault the place. It’s a shared private hospital facility, with Dr. Altan and assistant having own offices, surgery rooms etc. All is top spec. My constant support throughout was Ms. Dominica. She was with me from the beginning, explaining everything with excellent English and ensuring I was ok throughout, right to the end. This extra level of support made a big difference to me. The driver was a real gent, ensuring I didn’t bang my head getting in/out of car etc. At one point, I complimented the whole set up and team. The team member responded that “when you have a great boss, the team in turn is great”. I could see the respect and appreciation they have for Dr. Altan. I am very hopeful for my recovery and good results, as every review I read about the clinic so far has been proven true for me. I do realise that following Dr. Altan’s instructions & taking the medication provided for recovery is very important in achieving this. One last word…don’t hide away in hotel room. There are guys everywhere in Istanbul clearly having had procedure done. No one bats an eyelid. It’s not Ireland 😉 and Aestepool does such a clean job. I went exploring the city with my partner the next day, after my first wash at the clinic. Thanks to all. ❤️"
