I booked 2 hair transplant sessions with AEK after 6 months of research. I travelled 15000 kms from Australia for my hair transplant. AEK cancelled my appointment 1 day before the surgery after paying for the hotel as I asked them questions to clarify myself. I have lost lot of money and undergone deep stress because of these guys. Guys be very careful before reaching out this!! Scammer in the name of clinic

I had a recent transplant in AEK clinic. This is my second transplant surgery. I had my first transplant in Istanbul about 10 years ago. I spent long time searching for clinics to do my second transplant and finally I came across Dr. AEK youtube videos. I found him to be sincere and realistic unlike all other clinics I approached. I ended up doing body to scalp in 1 day and scalp to scalp the next day. Dr. AEK was involved initially making the design and explaining the procedure and doing the incisions himself which was great. I definitely think I received a professional and high quality transplant surgery.

I had to undergo a corrective procedure by a highly reputable hair surgeon after a disastrous experience at Dr. Ali Emre Karadeniz’s clinic. Contrary to what one might expect, Dr. Karadeniz did not perform the surgery himself — and I later learned he never does. Instead, the procedure was handled by two technicians (one of them named Tully). There were several red flags upon arrival, which I regret having overlooked. I had already paid and traveled, so I felt trapped into proceeding despite serious concerns. The setting is far from clinical standards — more like an apartment converted into basic treatment rooms. The equipment was rudimentary, and the overall environment did not inspire trust. Procedures were performed with minimal supervision and under questionable hygiene and safety conditions. Grafts were stored under an infrared heater, and nitrous oxide was administered via a hose I was expected to inhale on my own. Payment was requested in cash only, with a 20% surcharge for card use. The outcome was devastating. Grafts were extracted in bulk, leaving visible craters and scars in the donor area. The implanted hairs lacked natural direction and density, and many native follicles were damaged in the process. Despite a promised PRP session included in the initial offer, I was told afterward that it would cost extra — a clear bait-and-switch tactic. I also developed Cutis Verticis Gyrata (CVG), a rare condition of scalp folds, across the grafted region — a complication that reputable surgeons later attributed to the poor technique and trauma inflicted during the procedure. The graft survival rate was clearly low, and the aesthetic result unacceptable. To make matters worse, no information was provided about the number of grafts used, and post-op care was limited to baby shampoo and generic skin cream. Once I raised concerns, the clinic stopped responding entirely and blocked communication. This review is not written out of anger, but to prevent others from undergoing what I did. Please take this seriously — it’s not an isolated case. What happened to me could very well happen to you. The photos I’ve attached tell the rest. For your sake, think twice before trusting a clinic based solely on marketing. Your scalp deserves better.
