I decided to do this surgery completely on my own. It was a complex implant replacement with mastopexy after many years of problems, and the surgeon (Dr. Alper Eskalen) seems to have corrected everything that needed correction. I am still in the healing phase, so I don’t know yet how the follow-up will be once I’m back home, which is something I hope becomes clearer in the next weeks.
From the beginning, my case manager was extremely helpful. As soon as I decided to go ahead with the surgery, he immediately chose the surgeon most suitable for my situation. We even had an online meeting together — me, the case manager, and the surgeon — where all my questions were answered and everything was explained in detail. I never had any communication problems with him, and he guided me through every step of the preparation.
During my stay, I received most of the necessary medical care, and the staff/nurses were very helpful. Many didn’t speak English, but there was always someone from Mcan Team available to translate, and all my questions were answered. I had no assistance with bathing, but this wasn’t an issue for me personally because I already knew my body’s limits and had gone through this type of surgery before. Still, I would not recommend doing a surgery of this level alone to someone who is not fully aware of their own physical strength or who has never experienced this kind of postoperative recovery. Some people truly need help even to get out of bed, and that needs to be considered.
Besides the breast surgery, I also had teeth whitening and a facial aesthetic treatment (PRP) at Alana's Clinic. Both turned out beautifully, and I’m very happy with the results.
The surgeon himself was realistic, honest, and very skilled. I am satisfied with the outcome so far and feel that the operative problems I had for years were finally addressed correctly. The driver (Ömer) was excellent and very careful as well.
The only part that made me uncomfortable was the marketing team. They were extremely insistent and kept approaching me until I recorded a video, even when I was visibly tired and not ready for that. This is something that should be improved, especially for patients who are anxious or preparing for major surgery.
One thing that has nothing to do with the clinic but influenced my overall journey was the assistance at the Istanbul airport with Turkish Airlines. It was extremely poor. I had requested support, and yet I was treated as an inconvenience, and no one helped me with my luggage despite my surgical state. Thankfully, a few passengers helped me when they saw my condition.
Apart from that, the clinical/hospital care itself was very good. I only hope that the postoperative follow-up from abroad is as responsive and clear as the care I received in person, especially now that I still have dressings, stitches, and normal healing doubts. I would like to know if the doctor and nurses will continue following my case, receiving my photos, and whether I should return in person in a year or more for a final evaluation.
Regarding the hotel where I stayed, my experience was excellent. All the staff members, including the restaurant team, were incredibly attentive. When I arrived, there was an issue with my reservation, and to compensate for the inconvenience, they offered me a deluxe room for one night — a very kind gesture. The breakfast was exceptional, and the hotel was centrally located. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to walk around the city on my own because I didn’t feel physically ready yet, but that wasn’t a problem for me, since my main focus was the surgery and the postoperative period.
Even so, I definitely recommend MCAN Health. If they ever decide to include something like a city tour with a private driver in their package, I believe it would be a great addition, especially for foreigners who don’t know Istanbul, like myself. ✨️🩺

Everything is done professionally and smoothly with the drivers picking you up from the airport to the hotel and then later from the hotel to the hospital. You are never left stranded.
The nurses also were perfect, with the team walking you through the journey. The nurses will visit you in the hospital getting you set up and then constantly after the surgery to ensure everything is ok with you. The nurses we had were Nursena and çansu and I couldn't praise them enough.
The surgeon was also perfect and did a great job!
