I don't know where to begin and how to explain what I've experienced, but I want everyone to know about my tragic situation. I went to the doctor for Botox. He said he would examine me and proceed step by step. He applied Botox between the eyebrows, on the crow's feet, and on the top of the eyebrows. I've had Botox many times. I'm also a healthcare professional. He only applied a quarter of what's normally done in the first application. I left, thinking I'd come back for a follow-up appointment anyway. A week passed. My right eyelid started drooping. Interestingly, the area above the tail of my eyebrow wasn't treated. Such complications can occur. I reminded him that I'd only come for a lift at the check-up. I said I didn't have any wrinkles. He said he didn't remember and said he would apply Botox solvent to my eyebrows. I was surprised. This was the first time I'd heard of it. I'd had minimal drooping before, but nothing like this had been done. He asked me if he used magnesium. I said yes. He said, "Okay, continue and apply heat to dissolve the Botox." He left the room abruptly. He wandered down the hallway. Thinking I'd be back for another checkup, I went to the waiting room. While he was attending to another patient, I asked, "Dr., when should I come back for a checkup?" He said there was no need for a checkup and left the room to smoke with his patient.
Now, as a patient, which one should I be upset about?
My indifference, the fact that I went for Botox and then made suggestions about dissolving it, or that he sent me away after collecting the fee and said there was no need to come again. Most importantly, my right eyelid has drooped, and it's incredibly heavy, causing pain, and he sent me away with zero concern, without even looking at my face. The fact that my eyebrows had only been lifted, and my current eyebrows had fallen out, really upset me. I was very surprised that he had shown concern, and that he applied Botox dissolving to areas where it wasn't actually applied.
A friend who was with me had the same procedure and experienced the same thing.
I kindly ask you not to perform these procedures on your patients if you're not interested.
I couldn't help but wonder if the small amount of money they charge is the reason they're so indifferent. I know full well that filing a complaint wouldn't yield any results.
I leave it to God.
It will take me months to recover from my vision. Besides, I don't care about money, and I don't want to ask for forgiveness. Please see qualified doctors.
