I had a hair transplant three years ago, hoping for a permanent fix. The 3,000 grafts they took from my neck were all taken from a single, rectangular area. I've even kept the sides of my hair short, but even if I leave it slightly longer, the hair loss is incredibly noticeable. Furthermore, the donor area and the transplanted area are still covered in scars; it's clearly permanent. The transplanted area didn't hold up well either; it's visibly thinning. A regret of my life.
