The surgery itself went well, but the aftercare was unacceptable.
I was sent back to my home country with an insufficient amount of eye drops, leaving me without the correct medication. These eye drops are not available as a single product in my country; instead, the ingredients are provided separately in two different bottles. Since then, communication with the clinic has been extremely poor. Despite repeatedly stating that this is urgent, I receive slow, unclear, or no meaningful responses regarding how and how often I should safely use this medication.
I am deeply disappointed and find this situation completely unacceptable. This is not how a professional clinic should handle aftercare. Mistakes were made—both in organization and in providing insufficient medication—but instead of taking responsibility and acting quickly, I feel I am no longer taken seriously now that the treatment is completed and I have returned to my home country.
I chose this clinic solely based on its positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience does not match that reputation.
After the surgery, I was forced to wait one and a half hours for transportation while being repeatedly told “just 5 or 10 more minutes.” I was even brought outside at one point because I was told my car had arrived, only to find out it was not my car. Another patient was placed in that car, which later turned out to be mine—leaving me waiting yet again. This was extremely frustrating, especially while I was in pain and urgently needed rest.
The lack of proper medication is entirely the clinic’s responsibility. My doctor in the Netherlands has warned that using multiple separate bottles incorrectly could damage my eye, which is why I urgently need clear instructions from the surgeon in Turkey. The fact that this has still not been properly addressed is alarming.
A clinic that claims to have extensive experience should know exactly how much medication a patient needs. Providing only two bottles of eye drops for three months shows a serious lack of competence in aftercare planning.
I sincerely hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously, improves its standards, and ensures that no future patient is put in this situation again.
If I could give this company 6 stars, I absolutely would.
From the moment we made contact to the day of the procedure, every step of the journey was seamless—thanks entirely to Burak, whose dedication, professionalism, and genuine care went far beyond our expectations.
My wife recently underwent LASIK treatment with this company, and the entire experience was nothing short of incredible. Right after the procedure, her very first words were, “I can already see more clearly.” That moment alone was enough to confirm we’d made the right choice, but it was Burak who truly made this journey exceptional.
Burak personally coordinated everything—from arranging airport transfers (even going out of the company’s usual operating range) to walking us through the entire treatment process. He explained everything thoroughly, answered every question with patience, and ensured we were comfortable and informed at every stage. Not once did he say something couldn’t be done. His attitude was always, “We’ll make it work,” and he followed through every single time.
In past experiences with similar services, we’ve been met with rigid responses and limited flexibility. With Burak, it was the complete opposite. His can-do attitude, calm demeanor, and exceptional communication skills truly set him apart. He’s not only brilliant at what he does, but he also genuinely cares about his clients—and that makes all the difference.
If anyone deserves recognition and a serious pay rise, it’s Burak. People like him are rare to come by, and this company is lucky to have him.
Thank you so much, Burak, for making this entire process so effortless and reassuring. You’ve made a lasting impression on both of us.
We will surely be recommending you to our friends and families from the UK.
If you look closely at many of these reviews, they all look very similar. That's because they're fake. I contacted Augen Lasern in the beginning of January and spoke with Barak the supposed Clinic Medical Advisor. I asked him about the best option for me since I have thin corneas and I'm 53. He asked me about my medical history and I promptly sent in my medical eye records, which he assured me the doctor was going to read and then give me an update on the best method to go and the approximate price that the surgery would cost. It seemed Barak was more concerned at making more money from me, because in the midst of discussing my eye procedure, he tried to upsell me by getting my husband to do a hair transplant with them, even though we knew nothing about the doctors. I sent him our passports, (which he lost later on because of problems with his phone. Who saves passports for a medical client on their phone?!) Several months go by and now my husband and I are in Istanbul. I received a pickup from this medical office, to the clinic, but with no instructions what to do after we get there, and no one was there to meet us, we had to figure out what to do once we got there. I met with the doctor and imagine my surprise when he asked me what I wanted! He hadn't read my medical records at all! The consultation was rushed and I was charged more because of a minor medical condition that I had, (which many people have) which if they had read my medical reports the doctor would have known about them. By the way, toric is another lens type that they use for an astigmatic cornea that they can clearly see from medical records. After the surgery, the ride that was supposed to pick us up to go back to the airport, drove to the wrong address and my husband and I got a taxi instead. The ride and the pickup while we were there was uncertain daily The surgery went ok, I just feel like there would have been more options for me, if they would have sat down with me and had a proper consultation. I was told by Barak that Smile eye surgery was not a good fit for me due to my thin corneas, but that is absolutely incorrect! Please look that up online! I think they just wanted to replace the lens to charge me more money and that's the surgery they're used to. Please if you can find someone else to do your eye procedure then do it! I'm still having a few problems a month after eye surgery! The interdepartmental communication with this business is terrible! and they will try and bleed more money from you if they can especially if you're a foreigner! please stay away!
