The woman at the counter had a tremendous amount of trouble helping us normally. By "normal," I mean how our Turkish colleagues are being treated. Foreigners like us are viewed differently. We, who live and work in Turkey, with a SGK and supplementary private insurance, are being put in a different category than our Turkish colleagues with the exact same insurances. I find this utterly shameful. I wish for an investigation into these kinds of clinics with the mindset that they can cheat or exclude foreigners.

An honest review for a no touch laser surgery I waited one week to write this review but unfortunately the situation didn’t change. I am going to take the time to review the full process from end to end. I started with speaking to Necla on the phone when i was back home. She was very polite and manage to answer all my questions and took the time to research where required. I was convinced to go and at least do the tests to see what procedure will be suitable for me so I booked the appointment. I had also discussed the price for tests and the actual surgery. On the appointment day everything this was very efficient. Unfortunately, additional tests were required so that was additional cost for us. If you are expecting to sit down mostly that’s not the case as it’s a 4 floor hospital. They have tests on -1, you keep going back to floor 0 if payment is required, then you have the person who gives the amount to pay on 2nd floor and our doctor was on 3rd floor. In anyway my tests were done so it become apparent I can either do no touch or lasik surgery. The doctor explained to me the pros and cons of both and I selected to go for no touch. As i was super nervous that would have been the quickest option. The doctor managed to do the surgery the same day which was good. However, it’s after the surgery that i found the people stopped being attentive. I was only told the first 24 hours will be painful but wasn’t told what is normal. I was only told that it’s different for everyone which wasn’t very helpful. I would have loved a list of the things to expect. At least some more common once. What i had was headache, i couldn’t open my eyes almost and there was a feeling as if someone was pushing needles in my eye. I was upset to the point saying why did I do this operation. Also i was given a list of eye drops which i sure couldn’t have managed on my own. Luckily after the first day it started to get better. And on the 5th day i had to go for a check up. I could only see very blurry but the doctor said it’s normal. Unfortunately i had to go back home straight after the appointment. I still have blurry vision when I am watching the computer screen which is part of my job. I contacted Necla who booked my appointment and she was very nice to contact the hospital as there is no direct number. However, it’s already been a week and no sound from the hospital. I still see blurry and now i am thinking did i make the wrong decision to go for the surgery. And i still don’t know what is normal and if it will get healed. All in all the operation was good, however, aftercare is not up to standard so I am under the impression it’s all done until the money is taken from the client. Hopefully this is helpful for people who are thinking of undergoing the surgery.
